Thoughts on Expression

She crosses her arms across her chest
Her teeth are clenched
Her cheeks are in a pout
Her eyes penetratingly stare at me
With this I see the betrayal
The hopelessness
Rage
Frustration
Powerlessness
In her seven-year-old life

As a woman
These feelings
Come in tears
Silent tears falling down her cheeks
She is breathless, wordless, dry,
She is finding it impossible to speak
And what to say
The words don’t come
The tears just fall
