Developing a connection with you is at the heart of my approach. Through this connection, trust becomes established, vulnerabilities may be expressed, and understanding can happen.
People often come into psychotherapy because they are feeling an imbalance and do not know how or do not feel able to steady themselves. One of my roles as your psychotherapist is to figuratively hold you through the imbalance that you may be experiencing. As you feel my support, you are better able to build skills in order to continue to live effectively when there are imbalances in life. During the process of psychotherapy, there are even moments of feeling imbalanced as we uncover core concerns or deep-seated emotional pain. Experiencing this in a contained environment opens the opportunity for insight and growth.
